Banshee Press is open for book submissions from 1-15 October

Banshee Press is open for book-length submissions of fiction, poetry and memoir from 1-15 October 2025. All submitted manuscripts will be considered for our 2027 and 2028 lists (and perhaps beyond).

Who can submit:

  • All previous contributors to the journal

  • All writers from Ireland

  • All writers living in Ireland

What we’re looking for:

  • Novels, short story collections, memoirs, essay collections, and poetry collections

  • Exciting, confident and original writing

  • Books that might sit comfortably alongside our existing list – or something entirely new and different

  • Work from members of communities typically under-represented within literature, whether or not the work addresses this

  • First-time authors and previously published authors – both welcome

What we’re not looking for:

Submission guidelines:

  • Submit your work via this google form.

  • Please submit a complete manuscript, max 100,000 words, as a .doc or .docx file.

  • Please include a synopsis of max 500 words as a separate .doc or .docx file.

  • The book in its entirety should be unpublished; however, sections of it may have been published previously.

  • We are happy to consider simultaneous submissions, but ask that you notify us as soon as your work is accepted for publication elsewhere.

  • We aim to respond to all submissions within six months. Please note that we cannot provide feedback on unsuccessful submissions.
