Short-Story-Blue.jpg

Paris Syndrome by Lucy Sweeney Byrne has been shortlisted for the Edge Hill Prize, the only UK/Ireland-based award for short story collections. Huge congrats to Lucy! The shortlist is as follows:

  • Paris Syndrome by Lucy Sweeney Byrne (Banshee Press)

  • This Paradise by Ruby Cowling (Boiler House Press)

  • What Are You Like by Shelley Day (Postbox Press)

  • Sudden Traveller by Sarah Hall (Faber)

  • This Way to Departures by Linda Mannheim (Influx Press)

We are thrilled that Paris Syndrome continues to find readers and acclaim, and also to see such a strong showing from independent presses in this stellar shortlist.

The winner of the £10,000 prize, along with the winners of the Readers Prize and the MA prize for a Creative Writing student at Edge Hill, will be announced in November.
