Render author Billy Ramsell and Banshee contributor Mary Dunne will perform new work at a special event in conjunction with The Stinging Fly at Cork Midsummer Festival. In The Music of What Happens, Ramsell, Dunne, and two authors representing The Stinging Fly, Chetna Maroo and Thomas Morris, will read pieces inspired by the work of composer Seán Mac Erlaine, who will then perform a musical response to the readings. Tim MacGabhann and Rosamund Taylor will appear at Belfast Book Festival in conversation with poets Sinéad Morrissey and Paul Maddern. The event, focusing on genre-bending work, will be held at the Crescent Arts Centre at 6pm on Thursday 9 June. Tim and Rosamund will read from Found in a Context of Destruction and Filly respectively.
