Gustav Parker Hibbett and Michael Dooley are joint winners of the Southword Debut Poetry Collection Award 2025

We are thrilled that Gustav Parker Hibbett has been awarded the Southword Debut Poetry Collection Award for High Jump as Icarus Story, winning jointly with Banshee contributor Michael Dooley for his debut In Spring We Turned to Water.

The prize was announced as part of the Cork International Poetry Festival, with Banshee contributor Victoria Kennefick winning the overall Farmgate Café National Poetry Award for Egg/Shell.
